Think Before You Have A Baby

“When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him,
‘Son why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been
anxiously searching for you.’” Luke 2:48

What is your responsibility as a Christian adult concerning children?

The number of children you have is something you and your husband must
determine, along with the help of the Lord. While you are considering
this issue, it is good to consider the responsibilities that come with
parenting. What are they?
• Provision: food, clothing, home, education
• Discipline
• Guidance: being a role model
• Most importantly: your presence. You may have Lola and Lolo in the
house. You may have a wonderful yaya. But no one can take your place.

As a Christian mother, God expects you to be the main caretaker of the
little one. You should be teaching, disciplining, talking to them and
reading to them.

Don’t blame your son or daughter if they do not perform the way you
expect if you are not around them to t...

The Forbidden Kingdom

This is not actually a review, this is an upcoming movie of Jet Li and Jackie Chan, with Crystal Liu Yifei's first hollywood film (remember her? from the TV Series "Love of the Condor Heroes").

This is a martial arts adventure story, and also a first time team up between Jackie Chan and Jet Li. This is coming out on April 2008!

I can't hardly wait!

On to the 5th and 6th month

Finally on my 5th month not much complications was encountered. And I could go out and have a little fun. But there are still changes that I encountered during this month.

1. Constipation - this suddenly became a problem for me when I hit my 5th month and now is my number one problem, it seems pregnant women are prone to this, so I had to change my diet to veggies and fruits, only allowed to eat meat once a week.

2. Prune Juice - I had to drink once a day, to help with my constipation.

3. 1 tsp of Virgin Coconut Oil - I also have to drink once a day to help with my constipation.

So now the constipation is my number one problem and stairs second. And take note my sister said there are still changes coming, oh my...

But the funny part during this month is the kick of the baby is more prominent and I can easily identify. It's funny to watch my tummy move suddenly. My husband have a lot of fun, placing his hands on my tummy and feel the kick.

Then comes the 6th month, good thing only...

I've pass by Kubla's hotel before, a few years back while I was visiting my malaysian friends. And unfortunately it was night time when I pass by so kinda looked spooky from the outside. But I said no problem! Ponce Suite it is!

Good thing they have placed markers along the road as to where to find the place since it's tuck somewhere in Doña Vicenta Village, not easy to find if you're not familiar with the place. But you won't miss the hotel since the outside is decorated with sculptures, gigantic in size.

The place really look impressive, since the artist work peppered the place. From the outside to the inside of the hotel. Even the ceiling is not spared. It was an interesting site to see.

There is also a small souvenir shop ...

Coffee Prince

A Korean drama, being aired at GMA 7 every Monday to Friday around 9pm.

The storyline is quite unique, a playboy suddenly finds himself in love with a man, whom he did not know was actually a woman posing as a man. How he deals with the situation and his feelings, is totally hilarious, but at the same time you would feel sorry for him.

This korean drama is quite addicting. Only 17 episodes but each scene would make you laugh or tug your heart.

Info: The Director and staff paid close attention to the details of the story, the props to be made, each actors clothing style according to their character, and the place where the events will be shots.

You might feel sad when the shows ends, as you would want to watch for more....

As to this posting, rumor had it that the director is considering a

Last year she introduced me to a good pasta place.

Boyd's Pizza House!
It's located at Dr. 1 Josie Apartment, E. Palma Gil St.,
Bo. Since Claire boasted how the cheese in the pizza really is sticky. And their pasta is different. We ordered exactly those The pizza tasted like home cooked, something different, but the pasta for me was really good.

Price so far is fair enough.
Birthday and Our 1st Anniversary

This was the first time I celebrated my birthday eating outside with my co-workers. It was a lot of fun. And the food was overwhelming.

When I got home, my family surprised me with a little "handa-an" It was a nice feeling, to be home and be surrounded with family members.

And best of all, hubby and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary!!! Yey!! Though we were not able to go out and have a date, since we were quite busy with my brother's departure, nevertheless it was still a special day for the two of

4th month....

The 4th month is much better, I don't feel that tired and the best part, I can drive!
I miss driving, it's a freedom that I hope that I will always have.

So are there any changes on the 4th month?
1.) Definitely my tummy shows.
2.) I at least know which foods the little person wants - Jollibee, yum with TLC and pork bbq.
3.) Increase in fluid intake
4.) All of my regular clothes won't fit anymore, all I can wear are maternity dresses.
5.) I walk like an old lady, really slow.
6.) Cannot stand up for more than 2 hours.
7.) Cannot sitdown on any hard surface chairs for more than 2 hours.

And good thing I was on my 4th month on the merry month of December.

I love Christmas, but I was deprived of doing my Christmas shopping, as I cannot haggle with the crowd, as I was afraid my tummy might get hurt, so I usually stay away from crowded places. The good news however was my Ahia came home for the holidays, and it has been quite awhile since he came back for a visit.

Schedule was quite hectic while...

The café was opened for the purpose of not only as a financial income to help fund this organization but also an avenue where some of the products in the communities they help, can showcase and gain exposure to the public.

All the ingredients in their menu came from the communities that they are currently involved with. Like the coffee beans, strawberries and such. And honestly, the taste is very very good indeed. As all of the ingredients are authentic.

They are open from 8am to 11pm, except sundays.

To learn more about the coffee shop or to view more pictures, click on this !

The organization focuses not only peace in mindanao, but also try to help the communities.

Nowadays, they improve the prizes, instead of getting mooncakes you get pretty things or candies, depends on your host mood.

I have been playing this game ever since I was a kid. And I love the part where you get the prizes you want.

There are different kind of versions for this game, I don't know all of it. But the rules of the game usually falls on the game master.

Lanterns is also displayed during this time, since during the olden days, kids are allowed to go outside during at night to take a peek at the moon, and they bring lanterns with them.

I remember my Pa telling me a story about the Mid-Autumn festival, he said that way back in China, this was only celebrated with lanterns, then some of the chinese people ...

Fwends Diner

# 20 Metro Avenue Compound Davao City

Davao is sprouting a lot of restaurants lately, and this one opened in time for the Kadayawan festivities. But I wasn't able to visit this new place till last week, heard it was quite a hit, so I waited awhile before going there, just to make sure there wasn't such a big crowd.

So this one is very easy to locate, it's at the back of GMall, a few steps away from San Pedro Hospital. Where you'll find the Metro Building. If you want a map, click this .

Anyways, the place is like a little compound - small booths and lots of space. Only a few tenants are there. The Fwends diner is kinda tuck around a corner, look for the Fwends banner so you'll know youre in the right resto.

As we were ordering, the waitress told us that we just miss the crowd, since we got there pass 12:30pm, so some of their food in the menu was not available for the moment, good thing the baby back ribs and bulalo steak was still available. Coz that is exactly what we wanted ...

About OFWs?

Have you read the very controversial column in People Asia Magazine? I just did, and though I don't have an OFW within my family, I do have OFW friends.

This column has touched a very sensitive issue in the society, that for some people who are blessed with money and in a better financial standing they think of the poor ones or the one's with no money as lesser beings. (Not everyone.)

This kind of discrimation is found almost everywhere. I do not know where they get such ideas. But this has been recorded way back in history. I think wanting to be "superior" is one of man's worst evil.

Some of us have somehow forgotten that all of us are created equal. And what we do have material or status in this life are all blessings from God. It does not give us the right or authority to label or judge any individuals just because they are different or have to do an extra mile just to be where they are.

OFWs are OFWs because our country could not give them the opportunity that they are se...

And Monday was also a holiday for Ninoy Aquino's Memorial day. I don't go out during Kadayawan since the crowd is totally overflowing. A lot of people come here to join in the celebration, not only from mindanao, but also all over the Philippines and world wide. Would you believe that the hotels are all fully booked!

Unfortunately, we forgot about the crowd on saturday, as I was just done with work, my hubby and I decided to grab something to eat at SM before going home.
